The BYU Harold B. Lee Library holds the handwritten journal of John Scott (1811-1876).

I would love to see the entire journal you mentioned, I have been to Ebenezer Hall (Sylvan Oaks) in Ontario, and toured the house with the family that was living there, it has been a few years, and Frank has passed away now, as far as I know the family still owns the property, and here is an interesting article from the Toronto Star about the property.
Jacob Scott was my fourth great grandfather on my fathers-mothers line.
