Thanks to my relative Carson Rittel, I found this photograph of Ludwig and Katharina Graf Rittel as parents, presumably with one of their daughters. The collection notes that the photograph is circa 1920 but I believe it is from earlier. Their youngest daughter Julia was born in 1906 so if the toddler is Julia, the photograph would be circa 1908-1909, when Ludwig and Katharina were about forty years old.

My grandfather was EDWARD D. RITTEL HE WAS MARRIED TO RUBY DOW SHE DIED VERY YOUNG . MY DAD LEFT WITHOUT HIS MOM AT YOUNG AGE. HIS NAME WAS EDWARD TOM RITTEL II . HE LEFT HOME AT EARLY AGE TO JOIN MILITARY . HAS DAUGHTER JACKIE RITTEL AND FRANK RITTEL . MY GRANDFATHER MARRIED LATER AFTER MY GRANDMA DIED TO A ELISE SCOTT. IF YOU CHECK CLOSER TO THE HISTORY YOU FIND OUT THAT jACOB RITTEL AND THOSE FROM KOBLENZ , GERMANY WENT TO RUSSIA IN THE EARLY 1812 WERE MEMONITES AND THEN THEY CAME TO USA . MANY SETTLE IN OHIO, PENN.NEW YORK, THEN SPREAD OUT TO THE UPPER NORTHERN STATES.
